The Senior Technical Solution Manager is responsible for managing projects from inception to completion. Responsible for the technical planning including JSA’s, operational procedure writing, equipment selection and function testing, and the field execution of allocated project(s) as well as the commercial management thereof. Assist with technical methodology for proposals, pre-job walk downs, vender selection, consumable identification and ordering, and other like duties. Direct personnel in the field to assure the safe and effective execution of work. Manage the mobilization and demobilization process.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED)

  • Perform specific duties as directed by Management on assigned projects.
  • Identify resource requirements for upcoming and allocated projects including, personnel numbers and experience levels, equipment requirements, sub-contractor requirements, consumable requirements.
  • Prepare and ship required resources to the work site(s) and supervise and manage all aspects of the project from inception to completion, demobilize all resources for the worksite(s).
  • Responsible for daily operations in the field of assigned projects; liaison with the client and the effective project management of the project.
  • Manage the process of change, ensuring that variations from the scope of work are documented and approved both by the client and operational/business management.
  • Complete assigned projects and any other assigned task in a safe and professional manner; properly complete documentation both pre-job and post job of the same and submit paperwork on time, in a complete and accurate fashion.
  • Demonstrate proper terminology and applications of pipeline and fluid technologies as appropriate. 
  • Assist with instruction and training of less experienced personnel on Company procedures and policies.
  • Properly account for all expenses and time worked in a routine, professional manner.
  • Effectively delegate, assign and supervise tasks of others.
  • Analyze mechanical situations that develop during projects and make sound troubleshooting/problem resolution decisions.
  • Other duties may be assigned from time to time including but not limited to assisting with the preparation of proposals, attending close out meetings with clients, HAZOPS meetings, job walks and the like.
  • Assure adherence to client specifications and applicable regulations.
  • Adhere to EHS policies and procedures.
  • Represent the Company always with high moral standards while adhering to the Company’s “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.”


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Preferred an engineering degree with 3 years’ experience in a field engineering role or alternatively least 8 years’ experience at a senior supervisor level in either a pipeline or fluid technologies capacity
  • Must have computer skills in word and excel 
  • Must be commercial aware and be able to engage clients in both technical challenging and commercial sensitive discussions 
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.


WORKING CONDITIONS


Internal - Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment. 

External - Extended periods outside will be required, this will involve exposure to the prevalent climatic conditions.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


Work involves standing and walking for periods of time, but most duties are performed from a seated position. Work normally requires finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate a computer keyboard at a moderate skill level. May require extended hours to meet schedules or deadlines or meet with potential or current customers. From time-to-time site visits will involve extended periods outside in the prevailing climatic conditions.


WORKING RELATIONSHIPS/CONTACTS


Internal - Frequent contact with employees, department heads and managers. 

External – Regular contact with key clients and vendors.
