Description

Job Overview: The Production Team Supervisor?(PTL) primary responsibility is to manage the production team to ensure target completion dates are met.  Managing production operations to ensure that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process.? The PTL will assist in all production operations?to ensure target completion dates are met.??? 

Key Responsibilities not limited to: 

  • Production Oversight 
  • Scheduling jobs and organizing workflows and raw materials 
  • Ensuring production operation meets ship dates 
  • Preparing shipping documents and monthly inventory count 
  • Assist in all production operations to ensure target completion dates are met 
  • Management and Strategy 
  • Coordinate training and mentoring of production staff 
  • Conduct annual reviews of staff performance 
  • Collaborate with leadership on production capacity, manufacturing, and staffing  
  • Provide production leadership and keep team appraised of goals and activities 
  • Operate in a strong team environment to interface internally with all team members    

Company and Industry Leadership 

  • Participate in and promote company safety 
  • Maintain awareness of changing production trends 
  • Be a positive role model for the coworkers in accordance with BRD cultural vision and be a living example of the BRD core values 

Qualifications: 

  • 2 year associates degree or High School diploma with strong command of English language – written and oral.  Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.  
  • 4-6 years manufacturing operations leadership or department level preferred. 
  • Organizational competencies and project management skills to keep jobs and processes on track while understanding changes may be needed. 
  • Interpersonal communication skills with ability to discuss topics to a broader audience. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft and ERP system.  Epicor preferred. 
  • Certification/Experience operating forklift 
  • Flexibility to work hours required to meet job deadlines 
  • Industrial sewing experience preferred

Work Environment:  

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. 
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision. 
  • Ability to operate a computer. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to various temperature and weather conditions as field sites are not temperature controlled and often outside. 
  • Ability to lift 20 to 40 pounds?
