Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: DGM Houston Greens - Houston, TX 77032Education Level: High school diploma or equivalentTravel Percentage: NoneJob Purpose: Ensures proper receipt of materials based on supplied paperwork, handles all material, prepares material for shipping of key account. Duties: Receives all material for key account. Inventories all material received in by DGM standards and customer specifications. Verify documentation and contents of cargo upon receipt. Check cargo for damage and immediately reports any to account specialist in Operations. Stage cargo in designated area. Maintains direct communication with account specialist and maintains limited contact with client. Cycle inventories on a weekly basis, or as directed. Will be responsible for all receiving/shipping, handling, loading, etc. for account assigned. Demonstrates safe lifting techniques and adheres to all safety regulations, policies and guidelines. Ensure all documentation is correct and turned into office personnel in a timely manner. Participate in clean-up activities and ensure good housekeeping skills. Must demonstrate safe decision making in all aspects of work. Consistently at work on time. Responsible for a team, as assigned. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have at least 1 year experience in receiving, checking or shipping. C2C experience strongly preferred. Must be experienced in the use of the standup and sit down forklift. Skills/Qualifications: Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to follow detailed instructions and written procedures. Ability to prioritize work based on safety, quality and productivity demands. Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack. Ability to interact with all levels of staff and personnel. Basic computer skills and basic math skills required. Ability to read, write and speak English. Read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or other related documents. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Working Conditions: Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly for the duration of a shift. Ability to stand for long periods of time; bend, kneel and lift cumbersome and/or heavy objects. Prolonged and/or irregular hours on occasion.
