We are seeking an experienced Cold Header Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting cold heading machines to produce high-quality fasteners and precision components. This role is critical to maintaining production efficiency, safety, and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor cold heading machines according to specifications

  • Perform machine adjustments, tooling changes, and minor repairs as needed

  • Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and work instructions

  • Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure quality standards are met

  • Troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime and scrap

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

  • Follow all safety procedures and quality standards

  • Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience operating cold heading machines (required)

  • Strong knowledge of tooling, setup procedures, and machine adjustments

  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments

  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [weight requirement]

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Preferred Skills

  • Experience producing wire formed products
