CNC Machine Operator

 

Department: Manufacturing | Type: Full-Time, Onsite | Experience: 2+ Years Preferred

 

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC equipment to produce high-quality precision parts. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Day and night shift available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
  • Load raw materials and monitor machine performance
  • Adjust machine settings to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor machine issues
  • Perform routine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all company safety and quality standards

 

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 2 years of previous CNC machining or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers)
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

 

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with G-code or CNC programming basics
  • Familiarity with quality control processes
  • Technical or vocational training in machining or manufacturing

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing/shop setting. Employees may be exposed to machinery, noise, and production materials. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and will be provided.
