Description

Position Description: The Facilities Director provides leadership and oversight for the care, maintenance, and operation of Christ Community Chapel’s (CCC) buildings and grounds while cultivating a spiritually healthy and unified facilities team. This role ensures that CCC’s spaces are safe, welcoming, and ready for ministry, reflecting excellence in stewardship, hospitality, and service. In addition to managing daily operations, the Facilities Director is responsible for developing the Facilities team members, helping them grow both professionally and spiritually, and guiding them to see their work as an integral part of CCC’s mission. This is a full-time position and reports to the Executive Director of Ministry Leadership.   


Job Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and disciple the facilities team, fostering both professional excellence and spiritual growth. 

• Cultivate a Christ-centered culture that values humility, teamwork, and service as acts of worship. 

• Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations for the facilities team. 

• Manage the scheduling of staff to ensure proper coverage and support for all ministry and event needs while maintaining healthy work rhythms and rest. 

Operations & Stewardship

• Oversee all aspects of the care, maintenance, and upkeep of church buildings, equipment, and grounds. 

• Ensure facilities are safe, clean, functional, and welcoming for all ministry activities and events.

• Manage repair, maintenance, and custodial operations to maintain excellence in every environment.

• Supervise the setup and teardown of rooms and spaces for church services, ministries, and special events.

• Oversee building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) to ensure efficient, reliable performance.

• Develop and manage the facilities budget with wisdom and stewardship in mind.

• Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

• Maintain compliance with local safety and building codes.

Support Ministry Collaboration

· Model servant leadership by supporting all ministries and departments with excellence, flexibility, and hospitality.

· Collaborate with ministry leaders to anticipate and schedule facility needs for programs, events, and ongoing activities. 

· Ensure that all ministry teams experience timely, proactive support from the facilities team. 

· Participate actively in ministry leadership and staff meetings. 

Requirements

• Be in a dynamic and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

• Bachelor's degree in facilities management, business administration, engineering, or a related field.

• Five (5) or more years of progressively responsible experience in facilities, operations, or property management, including at least two (2) years in a leadership or supervisory role.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated ability to lead with humility, build healthy relationships, and cultivate a culture of hospitality and exceptional customer service.

• Strong knowledge of building systems, construction, and maintenance.

• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.

• Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.

• Strategic thinker experienced in working in a deadline-driven environment.

• Demonstrated ability to build and sustain a culture of teamwork, integrity, and spiritual growth.
