Job Summary
Responsible for working in a wafer fabrication cleanroom processing semiconductor wafers using equipment and processes used in wafer fabrication. Process may include photolithography, thin film coatings, wet and/or dry etch, annealing, grinding, and/or dicing. Responsible for following manufacturing process instructions and for using safe practices including use of PPE when required.
Duties & Responsibilities
Process wafers as instructed using wafer fabrication processes.
Organize workflow.
Maintain current wafer fabrication processes.
Troubleshoot and correct process issues.
Perform basic data analysis and record data as requested.
Work with wet benches and chemicals used in etching processes.
Work in collaboration with process sustaining engineers.
Summarize and communicate findings accurately to engineering team and management as needed.
Operate photo resist coaters, mask aligners, metal evaporators, PECVD, wet etch, grinders, dicing saws, or other equipment and processes in wafer fabrication.
Process wafers according to detailed wafer traveler documentation.
Communicate any issues with equipment to equipment maintenance; perform basic preventative maintenance tasks as needed.
Suggest and implement process improvement initiatives.
Follow safety procedures and always use PPE when required.
Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma.
Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
Good conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written; possesses the ability to interface effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
Good computer skills including email, word processing, spreadsheets, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
AS in technical field, engineering, or science.
3 years of experience working in semiconductor manufacturing environment with direct, hands-on experience in wafer fabrication.
Hands-on experienced and skilled with equipment used in wafer fabrication; photolithography, metal evaporators, PECVD, grinding, dicing, etc.Â
Experienced with basic electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting of equipment.
Good with data analysis.
Education
High School diploma. Â
Compensation
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $24-$29/hr plus benefits. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.Â
Physical requirements/Work Environment
This position primarily works in a Class 100 cleanroom environment. The employee must be able to suit up and wear cleanroom attire for extended periods. It requires frequent standing and walking. Daily use of a computer and other computing and digital devices is required. Data entry will be a necessary part of the job. May stand for extended periods when operating equipment or walking in the facilities.Â
