About the Opportunity
The Compressed Air Piping and Installation Technician for Michigan Air Solutions delivers quality installation of compressed air systems and piping for customers with focus on safety, integrity, and quality to meet their needs.
As Compressed Air Piping and Installation Technician, you will:
- Install air piping and compressor equipment
- Layout of compressed air equipment on-site at customer facilities (job measures)
- Inspect jobsites on compressed air equipment, layout of air piping needs.
- Document work performed using designated forms and submit reports to appropriate business units in a timely manner
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including, but not limited to, Parts and Sales Departments to facilitate service to customers
- Exhibit the highest level of safety standards by consistently donning appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to OSHA regulatory requirements
- Other tasks as needed or assigned
About You
The Compressed Air Piping and Installation Technician opportunity may be a match for you if you have the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Driver's License
- 2+ years' mechanical technician experience
- Ability to prioritize tasks with strong time management skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Proven ability to read prints and create parts & pipe list
The Compressed Air Piping and Installation Technician opportunity may be an ideal match for you if you also have the following qualifications:
- Compressed air systems, air piping, equipment layout
- Mechanical background, Plumbing gas piping, Hydronics, process piping
- Give proper feed back to your foreman for proper quoting to the customer.
- Be able to drive forklift, Boom-Ariel and scissor lifts (certifications will be provided in training)
