As a Technician in General Facilities Maintenance, you will perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment. This role requires expertise in multiple trades, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. You will manage work orders, coordinate with contractors, and comply with regulatory standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. What you'll do:
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures following established schedules and guidelines.
  • Inspect, clean, and repair facilities equipment, diagnosing issues using blueprints, manuals, and diagnostic tools.
  • Conduct major and minor repairs across multiple crafts including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry using hand and power tools.
  • Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor activities, ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Document maintenance and repair activities, track parts and expenses, and submit warranty claims as needed.
  • Provide expert advice to support continuous improvement and alignment with business needs.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience in preventive maintenance and facility repair to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, plumbing systems, and use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs for accurate troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and commitment to compliance.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor coordination.
  • Capability to document maintenance activities and recommend repair or replacement needs effectively.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications...

Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade or 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
Valid Driver's License.
Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
