Laundry Supervisor

Job Purpose or Objective(s): As the Laundry Supervisor, you will ensure that laundry production is run smoothly and to the standards established by Choctaw Central Laundry. In absence of the Laundry Manager, the supervisor will be the Laundry Manager. You will report to the Hotel Laundry Manager.

Primary Tasks:

1.       You will oversee activities of the laundry staff.

2.      Train and schedule employees; perform tasks such as absentee tracking and employee positioning.

3.      Report any discrepancies in production or problems to manager.

4.      Report any maintenance or mechanical immediately upon discovery.

5.      Assist with all stations of the laundry process when needed.

6.      Monitor the quality cleanliness of the products.

7.      Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:

·       Experience operating a computer or computerized machinery and equipment.

·       The ability to handle tasks quickly and correctly.

·       Exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.

·       Remain calm in high pressure situations. Exhibit a “can do” attitude.

·       Work with commercial laundry and cleaning chemicals.

·       Work independently and communicate with production employees both orally and in writing.

·       Two (2) years of related experience preferred.
