Duties
- Oversee and manage the operation of a vessel as the Captain
- Ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and cargo during all aspects of the voyage
- Navigate the vessel using charts, radar, and other navigational aids
- Communicate with other vessels, port authorities, and crew members to coordinate activities
- Supervise and direct crew members in their duties and responsibilities
- Maintain and enforce compliance with all maritime regulations and safety standards
- Conduct regular inspections of the vessel to ensure proper maintenance and functionality
- Respond to emergencies or incidents that may arise during the voyage

Skills
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team of crew members
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and address any issues with the vessel's systems or equipment
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with crew members, passengers, and authorities
- Proficient navigation skills using charts, radar, and other navigational aids
- Ability to make quick decisions in emergency situations while maintaining composure
