Summary:

 

The C.N.A. assists residents with activities of daily living by providing hands-on care and services. Working under the direction of the Residential Care Manager, Assisted Living and Home Health Coordinator, and the Director of Health and Resident Services, the C.N.A. helps maintain the highest levels of physical, psychological, social, and spiritual well-being in accordance with the resident service plan and current standards of care.

This is a full-time day shift position, scheduled from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, including every other weekend, for a total of 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Education, Training or Certifications Required:

C.N.A. certification in good standing


Experience Required:

One or more years experience in geriatrics. Familiarity with memory loss care


Special Requirements:

BLS within 120 days of hire date. Basic computer skills preferred


Cognitive Requirements:

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and in writing. Additional languages preferred. Ability for high performance under stressful situations. Must be able to prioritize, multi-tak and follow through


Physical Demands:

Able to stand/work for most of an 8-12 hour shift. Must be able to bend/lift 25 - 55 lbs (assisting residents in and out of bed, etc.)


Environment:

Potential exposure to blood, body fluids, contagiuos diseases and potential for periods of high stress.
