Responsible for the safety and security of the organizations’ employees, clients, visitors and property. Activities include: (1) conducting loss prevention assessments, including identifying and characterizing potential risks (2) developing processes and procedures to report on, manage and mitigate loss and security risks to acceptable levels (3) overseeing and conducting security activities, including controlling entry and exit to the organization's premises and safeguarding facilities, equipment, materials and employee property.

-Supervises the daily activities of business or technical support or production team
-Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors
-Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager
-Typically does not perform the work supervised
Functional Knowledge:
-Requires understanding and application of procedures and concepts within own discipline and basic knowledge of other disciplines
Business Expertise:
-Applies understanding of how the team relates to other closely related areas to improve efficiency of own team
Leadership:
-Has formal supervisory responsibilities; sets priorities for and coaches employees to meet daily deadlines
Problem Solving:
-Uses judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems
Impact:
-Impacts the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team and its contribution to the sub- function
Interpersonal Skills:
-Uses tact and diplomacy to exchange information and handle sensitive issues

In addition to understanding the responsibilities of the Lead Coordinator, the Security Shift Supervisor has the following additional obligations:
1. Supervises staff in performance of work and provides guidance in the resolution of problems.
2. Assigns work to meet completion dates in accordance with schedules fixed by higher supervision and subject to higher approval.
3. Applies and assures employees adhere to established organization procedures, rules and regulations.
4. Conducts performance evaluations for assigned staff.
5. Responsible for ensuring that guard inspections and reliefs are conducted in accordance with the service contract.
6. Makes periodic inspections of assigned facilities and personnel to ensure compliance with current Safety and Security policies and procedures.
7. Investigates any complaints from Associates or staff.
8. Able to draft policies and procedures for upper management review and implementation.
9. Responsible for all activities of the shift. 
10. Responsible for all associate administration, such as counseling and scheduling.
11. Run any shift without supervisory presence.
12. Able to work from Monday-Friday 6AM-2PM. Shift is subject to change based on coverage and department needs. Must have flexibility.
13. Must be able to travel and perform other related duties and functions as assigned by management.

Qualifcations

Minimum education level – High School graduate. College degree preferred.
Experience level working in the security industry:
1. At a Broadridge location – two years.
2. At non Broadridge locations – six years.
3. Military and/or Law Enforcement experience or the recommendation of the hiring manger can be substituted for the above experience.
Must be computer literate and have typing proficiency. Be familiar with/able to use the following:
1. MS Office (or an equivalent product) suite to include:
a. Word processing applications (MS Word).
b. Spreadsheet applications (MS Excel).
c. Database applications (MS Access).
d. Publisher type applications (MS Publisher).
e. Presentation applications (PowerPoint)
f. Collaboration applications (MS Teams).
2.Graphics programs (Corel Draw).
3. PDF applications (Adobe Acrobat Professional)

Be familiar with security systems:
1. Access control systems (S2 ACS a plus).
2. CCTV systems (S2 NetVRs and Axis CCTV cameras a plus).

Additional skill sets:
1.  Ability to communicate orally in a clear and professional manner. 
2. Able to write in an effective, clear and concise manner.
3. Able to understand budgetary processes.
