We are looking for:Specialty Veterinary Clinical Manager - Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology
Reporting directly to the Hospital Director, the Clinical Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a team of engaged and empowered team members to provide exceptional service to our patients, clients, and referral partners. In this role, the Clinical Manager works with the Hospital Director and Medical Director to promote a culture of collaboration, foster career development, and cultivate inclusivity. Through delivering optimal Employee Experiences and MedVet Experiences, the Clinical Manager contributes to Healthy Growth.Â
What you’ll do:Â
Ensure their department’s healthcare team has the resources and tools needed to deliver the MedVet ExperienceÂ
Coach team members on fundamentals of process improvement, ensuring the department is operating in an efficient and sustainable mannerÂ
Collaborate with other departmentsÂ
Develop, monitor, and adjust schedules according to workflow to maximize efficiencyÂ
Make recommendations in collaboration with the service/department representative for the purchase of needed supplies and equipmentÂ
Manage and influence department financial decisions and healthÂ
Effectively influence behavior and lead change in a rapidly growing organization while fostering a collaborative, service-oriented cultureÂ
Provide a comprehensive clinical onboarding training schedule for all team members Â
Provide ongoing and continuous performance feedback, instruction, and follow up to team members as part of a healthy Employee ExperienceÂ
Negotiate and mediate conflict in partnership with the HR PartnerÂ
Perform initial screening of client and referral partner concerns, and collaborate with the hospital dyad to resolve Â
Provide written performance feedback and a development plan annually for each member of their healthcare teamÂ
Attract and retain exceptional team members by providing an enriching Employee Experience that provides meaningful work, career growth, and ongoing professional developmentÂ
Split time between clinical and administrative duties with a minimum of 50% of the time spent on administrative tasks (this varies depending on the hospital/department size, number of direct reports, and staffing needs)Â Â Â Â
Who you are: Â
The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years of experience in a management or leadership role. Experience in the healthcare or veterinary profession is preferable. Additional requirements for this position include:Â
Associate degree or a combination of equivalent college level courses and experience preferredÂ
Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skillsÂ
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-taskÂ
Capability to work well in a fast-paced environmentÂ
Ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities to meet deadlinesÂ
Highly professional and able to work with people on all levels of the organizationÂ
Must have standard knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookÂ
Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours in the hospital unless otherwise approved by the Hospital DirectorÂ
Must be flexible to meet the needs of the department, which includes a mix of after-hour and weekend coverageÂ
