In this role, you will lead daily production operations to ensure composite manufacturing activities run safely, efficiently, and on schedule. You will guide technicians, coordinate workflows, support cross‑functional collaboration, and drive continuous improvement to uphold high‑quality standards. Your leadership helps maintain smooth operations, optimize processes, and deliver high‑performance composite products that meet rigorous aerospace manufacturing requirements.
Responsibilities
- Leads day-to-day production operations, assigning work, managing priorities, and coordinating resources.
- Ensures employees have proper materials, equipment, and support to meet production goals.
- Trains and develops technicians, including onboarding, cross-training, and establishing capability objectives.
- Evaluates employee performance, provides constructive feedback, and supports performance goal alignment.
- Addresses employee issues, supports hiring and termination decisions, and maintains positive team morale.
- Ensures safe operation of equipment, schedules maintenance, and trains employees on safety procedures.
- Reviews and approves timecards, overtime, and paid time off requests.
- Identifies process inefficiencies, recommends improvements, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitors production processes, maintains key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepares progress reports.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and legal requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or 6+ years of experience in an equivalent role, preferably in manufacturing and composites.
- Experience using manufacturing machinery, tools, and composite fabrication equipment.
- Proven skills in Microsoft (MS) Office.
- Strong organizational, leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills and a results‑driven approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in a technical, engineering, or relevant field.
