Ecolab is seeking a Chemical Plant Operator Ito join our team in Huntington, Indiana. As a Chemical Plant Operator I, you’ll help deliver the products that support clean water, safe food, and healthy environments around the world. You’llbe responsible foroperating and controlling chemical processing systems and equipment to produce high-quality products safely and efficiently. How You’ll Make an Impact:Â
Review daily mix schedules and confirm availability of required raw materials to ensure smooth production flowÂ
Accurately add raw materials to mixing systems using manual methods, pumps, or automated equipment, following standard mix instructionsÂ
Operate mixing equipment with variable agitation to achieve consistent batch qualityÂ
Monitor product quality throughout the mixing and filling process, identifying and reporting any out-of-spec materials or batchesÂ
Partner with Quality team members to resolve batch discrepancies and ensure compliance with standardsÂ
Perform thorough cleaning of all mix tanks and associated equipment to maintain a safe and sanitary work environmentÂ
Operate forklifts, palletizers, scales, pumps, and other material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished goodsÂ
Conduct routine preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systemsÂ
Maintain accurate production records and equipment logsÂ
Contribute to a culture of safety by following all Ecolab safety protocols and participating in safety initiativesÂ
Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements aligned with Ecolab’s continuous improvement goalsÂ
Perform additional duties as assigned to support plant operations and team successÂ

Plant Location: Huntington, IndianaÂ
Work Week & Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday (2:25pm-11:00pm)
Compensation: $17 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:Â
High school diploma or equivalentÂ
Previous experience in a chemical plant or manufacturing environment
No immigration sponsorship available for this role Â

Preferred Qualifications:Â
Experience working safely and efficiently in a chemical or manufacturing environmentÂ
Basic understanding of pumps, meters, and chemical mixing systemsÂ
Experience reading and following standard operating procedures and safety protocolsÂ
Experience performing basic quality control tests (e.g., pH testing, sampling)Â
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Basic knowledge of chemistry and chemical handlingÂ
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power toolsÂ
Excellent organizational and communication skillsÂ
Experience working effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Â

Physical Demands:Â
Position requires lifting/carrying up to 50 lbsÂ
Position may requireparticipating in respirator fitness testing, if requiredÂ
Position requires passing a drug screen and physical exam Â
