Cabell Huntington Hospital seeks a full-time Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician to work in our Laboratory/Hematology.

Candidates interviewed for this role will be asked to present proof of required degrees, certificates and/or certifications at the time of the interview.  Candidates unwilling or unable to provide said documentation will not be considered.

Qualifications
  • Associates Degree
  • High School diploma and the appropriate education and training as specified by CLIA 1988 regulations.
  • Registered as MT or MLT or eligible. Must successfully complete the MT or MLT certification within one year of employment at Cabell Huntington Hospital.
  • WV State licensure as Clinical Laboratory Practitioner.
  • 1 to 2 Years of Position-Related Experience preferred. 

The kind of position-related experience includes:                

  • This position requires demonstrated computer skills in a windows-based environment.
  • Completion of formal training in a designated laboratory specialty section as applicable. Specialty areas include but are not limited to ChemoID, flow cytometry, and molecular pathology.
  • In lieu of an AS degree, completion of 2000 hours in an accredited clinical (hospital-based program) or demonstration of equivalent education gained by nontraditional means through successful completion of a nationally recognized mechanism will be accepted for educational requirements.
  • Must successfully complete MLT registration within one year of employment.
