Marshall Health Network is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Secretary to support our Hospitalist Department. This role provides high-level administrative assistance to the Director of Hospitalist Services and Medical Directors, focusing on provider onboarding, credentialing, scheduling, and internal communications. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison across departments including Medical Staff Office, Billing, Payroll, and Compliance, while also assisting with meetings, documentation, and site operations.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and credentialing for new providers

  • Serve as point of contact between hospitalist teams and central departments

  • Schedule and facilitate internal meetings and monthly site reviews

  • Maintain records, track accounts receivable, and escalate unresolved billing issues

  • Assist with provider interviews, payroll issues, and completion of clinical forms

  • Use systems like Amion and Doc Halo for scheduling and communication

This position plays a vital role in ensuring smooth operations and communication across the Hospitalist Department.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Junior College/Technical School preferred

Experience:

  • 2–5 years of administrative or healthcare-related experience preferred

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with patients, the public, and internal staff

  • Ability to adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced, change-driven environment

  • Leadership-minded communication and interpersonal skills
