A multi-discipline consulting firm is seeking a Project Civil Engineer for their growing team in Huntington, New York!

Responsibilities:

Design/coordinate work on multidiscipline projects

Due diligence/site feasibility studies
Site engineering through regulatory approvals and full permitting

Develop site layout/design (site grading and storm drainage, roadway design, water and sewer infrastructure, erosion and sediment control)
Use knowledge of NYSDEC stormwater management and SWPPP requirements to prepare hydrology and hydraulic calculations
Perform project administration (writing reports, gathering information, writing proposals & correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports)
Prepare engineer's opinion of probable costs for designed projects and specifications for public bids
Coordinate tasks with other engineering and architectural departments within the firm
Communicate directly with clients
Ensure a high-quality, on-time, on budget, technical delivery of all project requirements

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or closely related discipline
- 5+ years of experience
- PE preferred
· Site development/municipal engineering project design experience
· Thorough understanding of the entitlement processes on Long Island
· Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices of related technical areas
· Familiar with the design of public infrastructure/public bidding process
· Strong knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D skills, Autoturn, Excel, and Photoshop

Salary is commensurate with experience.
