Huntington University has an opening for a Director of Track & Field and Cross Country

The Director of Track & Field and Cross Country provides visionary leadership for the track and field, and cross country programs, grounded in Christ-centered faithfulness and commitment to the University's mission. The Director cultivates a caring community that mentors student-athletes spiritually and athletically while pursuing competitive excellence. Responsibilities include recruiting, budgeting, scheduling, and facility management, ensuring all operations reflect integrity and compliance with NAIA, conference, and institutional regulations.

  • Commitment to Excellence: A proven track record of coaching, administrative, and leadership success, demonstrating the high standards necessary to lead a competitive NAIA intercollegiate program.
  • Creativity and Innovation: Demonstration of forward-thinking approaches to program development, team-building, problem-solving, and continuous process improvement.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Evidence of ability to effectively collaborate with campus partners to achieve shared team, department, and institutional goals.
  • Community Conviction: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build a supportive and growth-oriented culture for student-athletes and staff.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required (Master’s preferred), along with an understanding of the unique landscape of Christian higher education.
