Full-Time Courier

Job Summary: The emphasis of this position is to handle day to day interoffice delivers. 

Job Duties:

• Performs pick-up and/or delivery service of test samples, supplies, supply requests and/or reports for a specified route. 
• Prepares specimen containers with ice packs and dry ice as required to ensure specimen integrity. 
• Maintains daily log on route sheet indicating each stop, any call-ins, and number of specimens picked up. 
• Make recommendations for route changes that would be more expedient and/or efficient without sacrificing service or quality
• Performs a safety and operational check on the vehicle assigned on a daily basis. Insures an adequate fuel supply to complete the assigned route.
• Reports any operational or safety problems to supervisor. 
• Other duties as assigned.  

Working Conditions:

• Bending and lifting as required by job duties
• Frequently required to lift and carry material weighing up to 25 pounds. 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
