Virtual Care Patient Service Representative (Hybrid)

Marshall Health Network is seeking a Virtual Care Patient Service Representative to support our growing telehealth and virtual care services. This hybrid position combines in-office and remote work based on departmental needs and scheduling.

In this role, you'll serve as the first point of contact for patients seeking virtual care. You'll assist with registration, scheduling, telehealth appointment support, and coordination between patients, providers, and healthcare facilities. Responsibilities include: 

  • Answer calls for virtual care and telehealth services.
  • Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
  • Schedule telehealth appointments and assist patients with connecting to virtual visits.
  • Provide basic technical support to patients and providers before and during telehealth appointments.
  • Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and referring facilities.
  • Collect co-pays and accurately enter charges and payments.
  • Complete documentation and maintain accurate electronic medical records.
  • Process referrals and send appropriate records to consulting providers.
  • Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries, and relay messages appropriately.
  • Maintain tracking logs and assist with reporting and billing activities.
  • Perform other administrative and customer service duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong computer and keyboarding skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a medical office, hospital, or healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, patient registration, or scheduling.

Skills: 

  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Comfortable learning and using technology.
  • Able to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
  • Committed to providing excellent service to patients and healthcare providers.
