Electrical Engineer

HIWIN Corporation is the leader in the innovation and manufacturing of motion control and mechatronic system technology. We are one of the largest producers in the world of linear motion components such as: linear guideways, ballscrews, linear motors and stages. 

We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our fast-paced, diverse, and safety-centric team. This role will work on real-world applications involving motors, drives, and robotics. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, solutions-oriented engineer who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems and collaborating across teams. 

A typical day as an Electrical Engineer can include:

  • Support design, testing, and integration of mechatronic systems across HIWIN Corporation’s product portfolio 
  • Troubleshoot and optimize electrical and motion control systems, including servo tuning and multi-axis performance 
  • Test and validate motors, drives, and controllers to ensure performance meets specifications 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, applications, and global engineering 
  • Participate in system integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting at customer sites

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering 
  • 2+ years of experience in electrical engineering, automation, robotics, or mechatronics 
  • Experience with motors, servo drives, or motion control systems 
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C++, C#, or Python 
  • Understanding of control systems, servo tuning, and motion control principles 
  • Exposure to industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Modbus) 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on, learning-oriented mindset
