Painter

Overview: We are excited to announce an internal opportunity for a Painter in Huntley, IL. The Painter is responsible for applying paint, powder coat paint, and coatings to various industrial products and components in a manufacturing environment. This role involves preparing surfaces, selecting, and mixing paints, and ensuring high-quality finishes while adhering to safety and production standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Clean, sand, and prepare surfaces for painting to ensure proper adhesion of coatings.
• Mask and tape areas to protect surfaces that should not be painted.
• Inspect and repair surfaces as needed to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Hang and/or remove parts on conveyor system for powder coat application process. 
• Mix paints, primers, and other coatings according to specifications and prepare paint equipment. 
• Apply paint and powder coat paint using various methods including spray guns, brushes, and rollers. 
• Achieve desired color and finish by adjusting paint consistency and application techniques. 
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. 
• Maintain accurate records of paint usage, inventory, and work performed. 
• Assist with other production tasks as needed to support overall workflow. 
• Maintain all in-process paint specific inspections. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of painting experience. 
• Knowledge of various painting techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail. 
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively independently and as part of a team. 
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize. 
• Ability to use time productively with minimal supervision. 
• Commitment to safety.
