Job Description

As a Security Officer - Full Time in Huntley, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and/or visitor direction, report concerns, and communicate clearly with site teams while delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders when required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unsafe conditions.
• Monitor access points and control entry and exit of employees, contractors, and delivery drivers, verifying authorization and directing traffic flow in industrial areas.
• Complete required reports and logs, document incidents and observations, and communicate shift activity to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
