MSRC is seeking an Agile Software Team Product Owner to an Army acquisition office. In this role, you will be responsible for prioritizing and validating software development efforts, translating complex systems engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms into actionable technical guidance for the engineering team. Working in close collaboration with program management, you will define capability and defect backlogs across sprints and product increments to ensure optimal delivery. Additionally, you will serve as a key technical advisor to leadership, delivering high-level briefings and strategic recommendations on system performance, risk mitigation, competing capabilities, and overall mission impact.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engagement Operations Expertise: Possess a foundational understanding of Engagement Operations (EO) concepts, including engagement planning and scheduling, threat evaluation, target selection, battlespace prediction, and sensor resource management.
  • Development Oversight & Verification: Provide oversight to the EO software development team and validate deliverables against established acceptance criteria.
  • Agile Collaboration: Collaborate directly and effectively with Agile software development teams.

Education:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics, 

Job Qualifications:

  • Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset 
  • Have a minimum of 10 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed above, 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of Air and Missile Defense Command and Control concepts and operations 
  • Air & Missile Defense Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with major defense systems such as IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS.
  • DoD Engagement Operations Experience: Understanding of current Engagement Operations (EO) implementations across one or more DoD services.
  • Agile Leadership Background: Prior experience serving as a Product Owner on a SCRUM team.
  • Familiarity with government acquisition processes
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Understanding of agile methodology 

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Candidate must currently possess and be able to maintain an active security clearance.
