RGNext employees execute and report on theater and strategic offensive and defensive ballistic missile testing and support space situational awareness operations and experiments, using a wide array of highly sophisticated radar, telemetry and optical sensors to meet the needs of the Department of Defense in defending the United States and its interests. This role is an international accompanied opportunity and is located on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. 

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and manage a team of up to six Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (OHS&E) professionals.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive OHS&E programs that ensure full compliance with applicable local, federal, military and host national standards and regulations including OSHA, NFPA and US Department of Defense regulations (DoD).
  • Responsible for the management of comprehensive OHS&E documentation, including Safety Manuals, Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), incident investigation reports, training records, and regulatory compliance logs.
  • Ensure the completion of required inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify hazards, implement appropriate corrective actions, and verify compliance to legal, Company, and Customer OHS&E standards.
  • Assist and advise facilities and customer work processes to identify hazards and verify controls. 
  • Promote and lead a reporting and “speak up” culture that identifies injuries, property damage, and near misses, and promotes a positive safety culture. 
  • Promote the successful integration of cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and human resources. 
  • Prepare and submit required reports, metrics assessments, contract deliverable OHS&E documentation, and compliance documentation. 
  • Develop and mentor team members, support professional development, and ensure required training is complete. 
  • Ensure alignment and compliance to applicable RGNext, Raytheon, and RTX policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.  

Skills Needed:

  • Ability to prioritize multiple competing obligations, organize and triage risk control tasks, and communicate OHS&E information in a clear and concise manner. 
  • In-depth knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment methodologies, and incident response protocols.
  • Proficiency in providing OHS&E training to technical, engineering, and operations teams. 
  • Ability to lead in a matrixed, complex environment alongside customer and co-worker shared facilities.
  • Strong organizational interpersonal and leadership skills to manage a distributed workforce. 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related science or engineering discipline. 
  • Fifteen (15) or more years’ experience in OHS&E role with at least five years in a supervisory role.  
  • Professional certification or licensing such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or equivalent. 
  • Familiarity with DoD safety manuals such as DoDI 6055.01 (DoD Safety and Occupational Health Program).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance which requires U.S. citizenship. 
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Garrison Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S.A.G-K.A. driver’s license.
  • Competency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility in work scheduling, including the ability to support occasional, off-shirt or off-nominal schedules for emergent or unexpected issues in an active military garrison environment.

  • Laser Safety Officer
  • Asbestos Competent Person
  • Master’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related science or engineering discipline.
