Senior System Engineer (Test)

Capstone Research Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Senior Level Systems Engineer – Integration and Test to provide technical leadership supporting the Army's Portfolio Acquisition Executive PAE Fires, Golden Dome for America (GDA) initiative and other next-generation Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) modernization efforts in Huntsville, AL. This role serves as the technical bridge between systems engineering, software development, integration, and test organizations, ensuring customer requirements are effectively translated into software capabilities, verification strategies, and mission-focused test objectives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the systems engineering focal point between software development, systems engineering, integration, and test teams to ensure technical alignment throughout the engineering lifecycle.
  • Translate Golden Dome for America operational requirements into system-level verification objectives and test strategies that accurately evaluate mission capability.
  • Coordinate with Government stakeholders and external organizations to understand evolving operational needs and ensure those requirements are reflected in system integration and verification activities.
  • Partner with software development teams to ensure implemented capabilities satisfy system requirements and are effectively transitioned into integration and test.
  • Collaborate with verification and test organizations to develop test objectives, success criteria, and evaluation methodologies that support customer mission objectives.
  • Facilitate technical interchange meetings across engineering organizations to resolve requirements questions, integration challenges, and verification issues.
  • Support planning and execution of laboratory, integration, developmental, and operational test events.
  • Analyze test results and system performance to identify technical issues, requirement gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate engineering activities across internal teams and external mission partners to ensure technical consistency and successful capability delivery.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, technical assessments, and customer briefings supporting program execution and decision-making.
  • Identify technical risks associated with integration, verification, and evolving requirements and support development of mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 9+ years of experience supporting systems engineering, integration, verification, validation, or test engineering activities.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles and the system development lifecycle.
  • Experience developing and executing test plans and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze technical data and prepare clear, concise reports.
  • Must be US Citizen

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Department of War (DoW) programs.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering standards and test methodologies.
  • Active Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
