Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Space Ground Test Engineer to support the Golden Dome mission, with a primary focus on the development, integration, and execution of ground and system-level testing for space-based defense systems. The selected candidate will serve as a technical authority across test planning, execution, and analysis for complex space and missile defense programs, ensuring system performance, mission readiness, and compliance with rigorous government requirements.This role requires deep expertise in space and ground system testing, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to operate effectively in highly classified environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of ground, integration, and system-level test activities for space-based interceptor and supporting ground systems.
  • Develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, procedures, and reports aligned with program objectives and mission requirements.
  • Coordinate and integrate test activities across hardware, software, network, and operational elements.
  • Serve as a senior technical advisor for test readiness reviews (TRRs), system verification reviews (SVRs), and post-test analysis.
  • Analyze test data, identify anomalies, determine root causes, and drive corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders, prime contractors, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure test objectives are met.
  • Support software-focused test efforts, including verification of command and control, interfaces, mission planning, and data flows.
  • Ensure compliance with security, safety, and programmatic requirements, particularly within SAP-controlled environments.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across test teams.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical field. Master’s degree preferred
  • 15+ years of professional experience supporting space, missile defense, or complex DoD system testing.
  • Demonstrated experience in ground system testing, system integration testing, and/or end-to-end mission testing.
  • Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior Special Access Program (SAP) experience
  • Strong understanding of test methodologies, verification and validation processes, and requirements traceability.
  • Experience working in highly classified, mission-critical defense programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience briefing senior leadership and government customers.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting space-based interceptor, missile defense, or homeland defense missions.
  • Familiarity with Space Force, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), or other national-level defense programs.
  • Background in software-intensive systems testing and integration.
  • Experience with automated test frameworks, simulation environments, or modeling and analysis tools.
  • Prior leadership or technical lead experience on large-scale test efforts.
