Position Description:

Outpost Technologies is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to lead the end-to-end integration of a Mobile Command and Control trailer supporting classified, unclassified, and tactical networks. This role ensures all hardware, software, network, and video systems function together as a cohesive operational platform prior to customer delivery.


The posted compensation reflects the anticipated salary range for this position. Actual pay will be determined by a variety of factors including experience, education, certifications, and alignment with internal compensation structures specific to government contracting requirements.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical lead for system-level integration across networks, compute, storage, video, and external sensors
  • Integrate classified, unclassified, and tactical networks while maintaining proper separation and compliance
  • Coordinate integration of workstations, servers, switches, video matrix systems, and displays
  • Integrate external data sources and video feeds (downrange systems, cameras, RF links, weather, GPS)
  • AC power systems definition, requirements development, safety
  • Develop and manage system architectures, interface definitions, and integration plans
  • Identify and resolve interoperability issues across vendors and subsystems
  • Support in-house integration, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Work closely with network engineers, electrical engineers, and test personnel
  • Produce system documentation including block diagrams, ICDs, and integration procedures


Basic Qualifications:

  • US Citizen 
  • DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field 
  • 10+ years of experience integrating complex technical systems 
  • Strong understanding of networking, compute, and video systems 
  • Experience with rack-based systems and multi-vendor environments 
  • Ability to work across hardware and software domains 
  • Familiarity with classified system integration and cross-domain considerations 
  • Experience with video matrix/switching systems 
  • Familiarity with military power systems requirements and testing standards such as MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-810 
  • 15% Travel 
  • On-site work only (Huntsville, AL) 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting DoD C2 systems, tactical operations centers, or mobile command post integration
  • Prior experience with Army, Air Force, or joint service C2 platforms
  • Experience delivering fielded systems to government customers
  • Hands-on experience with ruggedized or shelter/trailer-based system integration
  • Electrical Systems design and integration for Army command and control networks
  • Familiarity with Army Test range network design and data products, particularly those related to Counter-UAS testing
  • ECAD Design tool proficiency such as Altium
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and experience supporting ATO processes
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing and system-level performance verification
