About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and flexible Childcare Teacher – Full-Time Support to join our early childhood education team. This role provides support throughout the center by assisting teaching staff, helping maintain classroom routines, and creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.
The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys working with young children, adapts well to changing needs, and is passionate about supporting high-quality early learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers with daily classroom activities, routines, and transitions.
- Provide classroom assistance to help maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
- Supervise children during play, learning activities, meals, and rest periods.
- Assist with preparing classroom materials and organizing learning spaces.
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Provide classroom coverage and assistance as needed throughout the day.
- Help maintain clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environments.
- Collaborate with teachers and leadership to support daily center operations.
- Follow all health, safety, and licensing guidelines.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with young children or in a childcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to support different classroom needs.
- Patient, positive, and attentive when working with children.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a childcare center, preschool, or early learning environment.
- Understanding of early childhood development and play-based learning.
- Ability to support classroom routines and transitions.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
