As a Tool Crib Assistant II, you will take on more responsibilities, including the management of more complex tool crib activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and assisting with advanced repairs and maintenance of tools and equipment. You will also help train junior staff and ensure compliance with all safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of a wider variety of tools and equipment.

  • Conduct more advanced cleaning, oiling, and repair tasks on tools and equipment.

  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate records and stock levels.

  • Dispose of obsolete equipment and manage surplus inventory effectively.

  • Ensure all tools and equipment are in safe, working condition and compliant with safety standards.

  • Conduct detailed inspections and maintenance of tools and equipment.

  • Assist in training and mentoring Tool Crib Assistant I staff.

  • Enhance the organization and maintenance of the tool crib environment.

  • Ensure timely availability of tools to support continuous operations.

  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize tool crib operations.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • 1+ years of experience in relevant technical field or related field.

  • Strong understanding of tool and equipment maintenance.

  • Ability to maintain inventory records and manage stock levels.

  • Basic understanding of the use, maintenance, and repair of a variety of hand/power tools and tooling equipment.

  • Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 90/90 rotation

  • Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.

  • Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.

  • Please be advised that this position may require deployment for a period of up to 90 days, depending on mission needs. Deployment is not guaranteed and will be determined at the discretion of the supervisor or management, or as otherwise specified.

  • Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.

  • Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.

  • Ability to obtain a current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally.
  • A United States Government Security Clearance is required for employment. Applicants who do not currently have a USG security clearance are welcome to apply and, if selected, will be processed for a USG security clearance by SNC prior to employment. Employment will begin once the USG security clearance is granted. If applicant is unable to obtain USG security clearance, the offer of employment will be withdrawn.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.

  • Proficiency with inventory management systems.

  • Experience with TCMax Asset Management Suite.

  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.
