Description

Don't want to stand behind a counter taking orders, or be stuck inside on a boring assembly line? Our students are hard-working, independent workers up on their feet! You'll play an important role in the operations of the company because your work helps ensure the health and safety of our animals. We need people who have a fine attention to detail and care about the facility and the welfare of the animals. Our students perform a variety of functions like cleaning cages; but you also get to move animals from one building to another using a "buggie" transport vehicle.



The shift is primarily Monday - Friday, 3- 6pm when school is in session, and 630-930am Saturdays.

Pay rate for student positions is $17HR - NEW UPDATED RATE!!

Requirements

We are looking for people who can handle the physical requirements of lifting, cleaning and basic health and who don't mind getting their hands dirty, to play a key role in animal welfare. Good communication and organizational skills are essential as well as the ability to work independently or with others.


Work Conditions:

Conditions are often hot and humid and may include frequent animal contact. Work area has a high level of noise. Earplugs are required.

Work may be physically demanding with a requirement to lift animals. Job duties may be performed while wearing personal protective equipment and may require operation of motorized buggy.
