Â A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COOK As a Cook at River Oaks of Minnesota, you play an important role in the health and well-being of our residents by preparing nutritious, appetizing meals in accordance with physician orders, dietary needs, and food safety standards. Your responsibilities include: Preparing and serving meals according to approved menus, recipes, and therapeutic diet requirements. Maintaining proper food temperatures and ensuring all food is prepared and stored according to sanitation and food safety guidelines. Setting up and cleaning the dining room while providing friendly, courteous service to residents. Washing dishes, cookware, utensils, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen. Assisting with meal preparation for future meals, stocking supplies, and notifying management when inventory is running low. Supporting residents' nutritional well-being while maintaining a safe, sanitary, and welcoming dining experience. Working collaboratively with the care team to provide exceptional service and support the mission of River Oaks of Minnesota. QualificationsQualifications QUALIFICATIONS FOR A COOK 18 years of age or older Ability to pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services background check Passion for preparing quality meals and serving individuals with physical and mental health challenges Preferred but not required: Previous food service or cooking experience Experience working in healthcare, assisted living, or long-term care Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Food Service or ServSafe certification Do you have a positive, can-do attitude and enjoy working as part of a team?
