We are seeking a casual SLP to join our team. Β This position will work one weekend a month and one holiday a year. Β Opportunities to work additional May - August to help fill in for staff time off is desired. Β This is a flexible and diverse position offering great variety. Β The position would be able to see inpatients, outpatient adult, outpatient pediatrics and perform video swallow studies. Β The work environment is extremely collaborative between multiple disciplines (PT, OT, SLP) and offers a fast-paced tempo with a fun patient population.Β

Job Summary:
Speech Language Pathologists are health care professionals who address the restoration of maximum function by providing diagnostic, evaluative, and treatment services to clients with speech, language, voice, or swallowing problems.ββββ

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides Speech/Language evaluation, treatment planning, and treatment implementation to clients of all ages; addresses individual developmental, cognitive and physical needs, as well as cultural differences.ββββ
Coordinates client care with other disciplines through good communication and intervention recommendations.βββ
Provides education, information, and training to clients, family, caregivers, and community to promote continuity of care, optimum therapeutic outcome, and community health.βββ
Maintains documentation and records of treatment performance to assure quality client care, meet regulatory and professional standards, and receive optimal reimbursement.ββββ
Acts as a consultant to internal and external customers.βββ
Maintains education, knowledge, and training required to provide up-to-date, quality care to meet client case load and community needs and meet minimum national and state licensure requirements.ββββ
Oversees Speech/Language students and volunteers.ββββ
Participates in quality improvement and peer review to assure effective and efficient services.ββββ
Performs all other related duties as assigned.ββ

Education, Training or Degree Required:
1. Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.ββββ
Β
License/Registration/Certification Required: (will be primary source verified by HR)
Β Current license as a Speech Language Pathologist by the State of Minnesota.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology granted by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association or meets the educational requirements for certification and is able to accumulate the supervised experience required for certification.
Current CPR certification required βββ

Experience and Skills: (indicate preferred or required)
Previous work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist is desirable but not required.βββ
