The Staff Pad is seeking a Project Manager in the commercial moving and logistics space to join our client's team in Hyattsville, Maryland. This key role involves overseeing and managing commercial relocation projects, ensuring that all moves are completed on time, within budget, and with the highest level of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven track record in commercial relocation or project management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Lead and manage all aspects of commercial relocation projects, from initial planning through to completion, ensuring smooth and efficient moves.
  • Client Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, concerns, and expectations throughout the relocation process.
  • Scheduling and Planning: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules, coordinating all activities related to the move, including packing, transportation, and installation.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the project budget, ensuring that costs are controlled and that the project remains within financial constraints.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and manage moving crews and subcontractors, providing clear instructions and guidance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks or issues during the relocation process and proactively implement solutions to mitigate these risks.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that all moves are executed with attention to detail, and address any client concerns or issues to maintain a high level of satisfaction.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate records of the project’s progress, including scope changes, budgets, timelines, and any issues encountered.
  • Post-Move Follow-Up: Conduct post-move inspections and follow up with clients to ensure that all expectations have been met and address any final concerns.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Project Management, or related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial relocation project management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of relocation logistics, including packing, moving, and installing commercial furniture and equipment.
  • Proven experience managing budgets, timelines, and project scope.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen.
