Description

Title: Client Care Specialist/Medical Assistant.


Purpose: Provide excellent customer service both in-person and over the phone. Act as a support and resource for Counselors, Community Workers and Medical Providers.  As needed, may provide intake services, including checking-in clients and obtaining vitals. 


Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant
  • Detail-Oriented/Organizational Skills
  • Professional and friendly with public
  • Experience in Excel, Word, and Google
  • Excellent customer/client service

Schedule: 8am-5pm, Monday - Friday, availability to cover occasional shifts until 6pm or 8pm preferred

Supervised by: Office Manager

Location: Primarily Idaho Falls, may assist in Rigby or Rexburg office (as assigned on the work approved schedule)


Requirements

Job functions, responsibility and authority: 

  • Be on time for work according to the work approved schedule. 
  • Greet clients as they enter the office and assist with checking clients in, collecting balances, verifying client information, gathering needed paperwork and other tasks as needed. 
  • Scan any documentation received into the EHR accurately.
  • Answer phones, deliver messages and address any issues that may arise.
  • Read and respond to emails daily. 
  • Check voicemail and address any messages throughout the day. 
  • Assist with calling and collecting co-pays.
  • Verify insurance information daily for clients.
  • Assist the Scheduling Department with any needs. 
  • Assist the Billing Department by closing your billing batch daily and with any other needs. 
  • Assist with making reminder calls for Intake/Renewal appointments. 
  • Assist with helping to keep the offices clean by organizing, sanitizing, vacuuming, sweeping, restocking, etc.
  • Assist with setting up appointments.
  • Assist with other office responsibilities as assigned. 
  • Attend weekly meetings as assigned.
  • Report abuse as outlined in Policies and Procedures #320. 
  • Maintain all required documentation for employee file including a current enhanced background check. 
  • As needed, may provide intake services, including checking-in clients and obtaining vitals
