Job DetailsJob Location: BHF HQ - Idaho Falls, ID 83404Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $103,000.00 - $160,000.00 SalaryJob Category: AccountingBrad Hall Fuel is currently seeking a Director of Credit Solutions. BHF is one of the largest petroleum distributors in the Western United States doing business in over 40 states. In addition to the BHF core business, BHF is involved in agriculture, oil field services, propane distribution, LNG, fuel transportation, retail fuel stations, and property management.     The Director of Credit Solutions will primarily be focused on:   Credit  Develop, implement, and maintain credit policies and strategies.  Develop and manage the credit application process and procedure.  Review and approve customer credit applications and financial statements.  Evaluate customer credit exposure considering market volatility, pricing trends, and volumes.  Establish credit limits considering customers’ needs compared against the risk the Company is willing to bear.  Recommend use of guarantees, letters of credit, prepayment, or insurance when appropriate.  As needed, adjust credit limits, payment terms, and collateral requirements based on risk assessments.  Act as a liaison with customers, sales personnel, executive management, third-party providers such as credit agencies and insurers.  Develop and manage the process for holding or releasing customer shipments based on outstanding account balances and approved credit limits.  Periodic review of existing customer credit worthiness and applicable maintenance of credit records and files.  Collections  Develops, implements, and completes collection processes and procedures.  Establish and execute escalation protocols for delinquent or over-limit accounts including legal review and recommendations.  Review contract terms and conditions and escalate non-compliance.  Negotiate payment plans and resolve credit-related disputes.  Manage credit holds and releases in coordination with Sales and Legal.  Work with approved outside counsel for each State on litigation for collection as approved by the CLO and EVP of Finance & Accounting.  QualificationsThe preferred candidate for the Director of Credit Solutions will have the following:   Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.  seven or more years of relevant experience in credit, collections, finance, or a combination of education and experience.  Excellent negotiation, judgment, and decision-making skills.  Familiar with credit and collections related laws, with the ability to quickly learn new and evolving regulations.  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively in every interaction.  Strong computer skills and able to learn company systems and processes.  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  Adheres to the company’s values and ethical expectations.   Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize competing responsibilities.  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with a innovative, process-driven mindset and a strong desire to improve existing workflows and challenge status quo.  Confident and professional when communicating directly with. customers regarding past-due accounts and breaches of contract, while maintaining a collaborative approach that reflets positively on the organization.  Exceptional follow-up skills, particularly when managing payment plans, outstanding balances, and customer commitments.   Able to work with tight timelines and to handle stressful situations.
