PURPOSE OF POSITION:Â Reviews, processes, and analyzes all aspects of payroll data processing for the organization. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, and provides exceptional customer service support to employees assigned to specific geographic locations regarding payroll-related inquiries.Â
Meets RCMA performance standards by thoroughly understanding and applying the guidelines outlined in RCMA’s Plan of Action, Employee Handbook, and job descriptions, ensuring compliance with performance standards and funding source requirements.Â
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; however, other duties may be assigned:
- Verifies employee changes processed by HR in ADP WFN, including but not limited to new hires, rehires, terminations, transfers, seasonal layoffs, bonuses, evaluations, retro pay, etc.
- Performs daily entry of payroll changes within ADP WFN for employees, including but not limited to allocations, direct deposit, W-4, workers' compensation, accruals, hourly rate, voluntary payroll deductions, garnishments, benefits deductions, and FMLA, etc.
- Manages workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Executes time and attendance processing to interface with payroll. Investigates time and attendance records for reasonableness.Â
- Process E-Time Task by exporting batch 90 to import into ADP for each company code
- Analyzes reports and hyper find queries
- Validates correct funding for employee allocations with JMT and other fiscal staff for proper coding of staff expenses.
- Reviews payroll reports on a semimonthly basis and provides accurate financial information in a timely manner to ensure:
- Precise processing and recording of the company’s payroll.
- Transmittals contain all pertinent payroll information for each employee.
- Pay Summary, I-Reports, Internal Control Rosters, OT Report, and PARS are provided to the appropriate personnel when requested.
- Payroll task to transmitÂ
- Making pay reports available to othersÂ
- Download MR Data
- (EO1) Accurals, update the accurals import in Time & AttendanceÂ
- Processes requests for verification of employment, wages, and other related inquiries in a timely manner.
- Respond to employee payroll / Time and Attendance questions and issues.
- Provides excellent customer service in a timely and courteous response to staff, auditors, and other external parties.
- Ensures that Wisely Pay Cards and any other related correspondence are sorted and mailed to designated locations on time.
- Researches, analyzes, and resolves payroll-related issues or inquiries.
- Adheres to all organizational policies and procedures and ensures compliance with established internal controls.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Â To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty element satisfactorily while exercising independent judgment and discretion under the general supervision of the Payroll Manager. REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree GED) with a combination of 1-3 years of payroll processing or Human Resources experience.Â
- Proficient with ten-key calculators and computers.Â
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organization, and communication skills.Â
- Familiarity with wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and benefits administration.Â
- Experience with payroll software (e.g., ADP) preferred.
