To thrive as a QualityĀ Technician IĀ at Behr, you should be detail oriented and eager to learn. In this role,Ā you’llĀ support manufacturing and quality operations by preparing and testing paint samples to ensure products meet quality control standards and drive improvements. No extensive lab experience isĀ required. We provide full training on equipment, procedures, and systems!Ā

Each day,Ā you’llĀ receive assignments related to quality checks, raw materials, or product improvement projects.Ā You’llĀ prepare and analyze samples using lab equipment and perform tests such as viscosity, gloss, density, pH, and scrub testing.Ā You’llĀ accurately record results, compare samples, andĀ maintainĀ documentation so teams can evaluate product performance.Ā

You’llĀ also report any equipment or processĀ issues andĀ help keep the lab clean and organized byĀ maintainingĀ supplies, cleaning equipment, and supporting basic lab tasks.Ā 

This is a full-time 2nd Shift position. The regular schedule is Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM, providing three-day weekends.

  • Excellent attention to detail. Accurate testing and recordkeeping are essential to supporting product quality and development efforts.Ā Ā 

  • A commitment to safety. Following lab safety guidelines andĀ maintainingĀ a clean, organized workspace is critical.Ā Ā 

  • A willingness to learn.Ā We’llĀ train you on our lab equipment, testing procedures, and systems, and we value team members who are eager to grow their skills!Ā Ā 

  • Strong organization and communication skills.Ā You’llĀ work closely with supervisors and team members while documenting results andĀ maintainingĀ clear records.Ā Ā 

  • Basic computer and technical skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar software and experience with SAP is a plus.Ā Ā 

  • A high school diploma orĀ GEDĀ isĀ required.Ā

  • AĀ QualityĀ TechnicianĀ IĀ startsĀ at $21.00/hr. Team members will receive a $0.50/hrĀ increaseĀ atĀ 6 months of employment and another $0.50/hrĀ increaseĀ atĀ one year of employment.Ā
