ENVi Environmental, LLC is an Ohio based consulting firm with offices in Independence and Elyria.  Partnered with Kurtz Bros., Inc, ENVi provides consulting services to meet the needs of industrial companies as well as commercial real estate attorneys and civil engineering and design firms who are seeking to minimize their environmental risks. Our environmental professionals work with property owners to develop and implement environmentally responsible business practices, including a beneficial reuse plan to transform cost-draining waste streams into profitable, recurring revenue streams.


This role is for an Environmental Consulting Project Manager based in Elyria/Independence, Ohio, focused on environmental compliance management for industrial and waste facility clients.  This role is a hybrid position, with time spent working remotely, in the office, and at client sites. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage NPDES and Stormwater compliance programs for multiple facilities.
  • Conduct site inspections, compliance assessment, and monitoring activities
  • Develop, maintain, and update Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs) for industrial facilities.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to clients and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage reporting through Ohio's eDMR system.
  • Support compliance for: Compost facilities, hard fill sites, storage and land application sites, C&DD landfills and processing facilities
  • Conduct environmental sampling, including groundwater, surface water, and leachate systems
  • Manage annual licensing requirements.
  • Work with Beneficial Use General Permits and related compliance programs.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required.  May need to work variable schedules as necessary. 
  • Other duties may be assigned


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in an environmental-related field preferred.
  • 7-10 years in environmental consulting and/or environmental compliance.
  • CPESC (Certified Professional in Erosion & Sediment Control), preferred and/or
  • CESSWI (Certified Erosion, Sediment and Stormwater Inspector) preferred
  • Wetland assessments, delineations, and permitting.
  • Air pollution permitting, recordkeeping, and regulatory reporting.


Knowledge/Skills

The strongest candidate would have:

  • Extensive stormwater and NPDES compliance experience.
  • Strong SWPPP development and implementation skills.
  • Experience managing multiple industrial clients and projects.
  • Knowledge of Ohio EPA regulations and reporting systems.
  • Waste management compliance experience.
  • Project management and client-facing consulting experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High attention to details and accuracy. 
  • Proficiency in Office Suite
