Objective:

Support process improvement efforts, projects and initiatives of the company. This role aides in executing protocols to ensure the most efficient ways to best utilize people, machines, materials, information, etc to provide process improvements. The PP Manager begins to provide individual contribution to problem-solving efforts on selected projects to optimize worker efficiency, yield improvement, waste reduction and workplace optimization along with accurate cost standards and procedures.

Role and Responsibilities:

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Create an auditing process of current production protocols in place at our sow聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 farms

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Utilizing the auditing mechanism created determine efficiencies and ensure聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 each sow farm is compliant in their process.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Develop a tracking system to determine inefficiencies and achieve 100%聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 compliance of all processes across the system.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Supporting and verifying that anyone coming into contact with our pigs are聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 handled, cared for and maintained according to our policy.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Conducting ongoing analysis of processes in line with industry regulations and聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 implement variations to maximize outcomes

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Troubleshoot and improve process to maximize outcomes

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist in modifying an updating animal welfare policies and ensure continuous聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 improvement, and monitor the effectives of current policies.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Prepare clear audit observations including workpapers, mobile devices, finding聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 and observations in accordance with auditing procedures.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Review violations with HR to determine validity and outcome of violation for the聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 聽 employee.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 2-year animal science degree

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 5 + years in swine industry

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Fluent in English and Spanish preferred

Work Environment

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Agricultural swine environment in rural area 75%

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Sedentary work in office setting 25%

Physical Requirements:

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Standing, walking and ability to be on feet 8 to 10 hours per day

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Frequent bending, reaching, squatting and kneeling

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Frequent lifting of objects weighing 3-20 pounds

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
