Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Medical Assistant.
Position Status: Part Time
Position Location: Sentara Medical Group, Family Medicine - Virginia Beach, VA
Standard Working Hours: 20 hours / week (Monday - Friday) - hours may vary
Overview
Perform patient care related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluation, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Perform administrative duties, as appropriate.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Certification/Licensure
Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) - Certification - American Medical Technologists (AMT) orĀ EMT Basic-Certifications-National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)- Certification National Healthcare Association (NHA) or EMT Advanced-Certification -National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) orĀ Paramedic
Experience
One year experience in a healthcare setting preferred
