We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support our accounting team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role will focus on inventory-related accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close support, and assisting with internal audit activities. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and eager to develop within a fast-paced operational setting.


Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Manufacturing Accounting

  • Perform inventory reconciliations and investigate variances
  • Reconcile prepaid inventory and accrued receipts accounts
  • Support cost-related analysis and ensure proper inventory valuation
  • Collaborate with operations and plant personnel to resolve discrepancies

Balance Sheet Reconciliations

  • Prepare and maintain monthly reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts
  • Research and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner
  • Maintain clear documentation supporting account balances

Month-End Close

  • Assist with month-end close procedures, including journal entries
  • Prepare supporting schedules and analyses
  • Ensure deadlines are met in accordance with the close calendar

Internal Audit Support

  • Participate in internal audit activities for manufacturing facilities
  • Assist with walkthroughs, documentation, and control testing
  • Identify process improvement opportunities

General Accounting Duties

  • Support accounts payable and receivable as needed
  • Assist with fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounting records
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects


Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience (multi-site or manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas)
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills.
