ERG is seeking an electrician with mid- to senior-level experience to provide maintenance and demand services support of all electrical systems that support industrial and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate must be motivated and have the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.Â

This position will be full time at the Naval Support Facility Indian Head and will include interaction with and support from ERG personnel at the facility, as well as from ERG’s offices in Fairfax and Arlington, Virginia. Indian Head is approximately 30 miles from Washington, D.C.; 25 miles from Alexandria, Virginia; and 60 miles from Fredericksburg, Virginia. Alternative work schedules may be considered.Â
\n- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipmentÂ
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide solutionsÂ
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprintsÂ
- Ensure compliance with all building and safety regulations, as well as facility policiesÂ
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to install and maintain electrical systemsÂ
- Conduct preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipmentÂ
- Maintain accurate records of activities, including work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and equipment inventoryÂ
- Order and maintain inventory of supplies and spare partsÂ
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to perform repairs and maintenance on electrical equipment and systemsÂ
- Operate and maintain a bucket truck to complete the maintenance of cabling systemsÂ
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical school program in electrical technology or related field preferredÂ
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with a Journeyman license OR 8 years of experience without a Journeyman licenseÂ
- Electrical personnel should have expert knowledge in lighting, power distribution, grounding and bonding, and lightning protection system requirements Â
- Experience managing network cabling within an energetic manufacturing environmentÂ
- Qualified installer of all media of cabling and terminations to support telecommunication systems internal and external to facilitiesÂ
- Familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and regulationsÂ
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsÂ
- Ability to work independently and as part of a teamÂ
- This position will require a pre-employment physical examÂ
- This position requires lifting objects weighing up to 100 poundsÂ
- Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance   Â
- Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access AuthorizationsÂ
