PNL was founded in 1994 in Tempe, AZ and is now part of the Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) family of companies based in Marietta, GA which employs nearly 2,050 team members in over 95 locations across the United States.   Our purpose is to create a safe and reliable world, and our mission is to deliver assurance through precise technical and professional services.   Summary: Mechanical Laboratory Technician - Tempe, AZ.  Phoenix National Labs in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Mechanical Laboratory Technician to test metals, plastics, rubbers, ceramics and other materials as well as support nondestructive testing and metallurgical services.  This is a permanent job typically working 40-50 hours per week.  Local candidates and those willing to relo to Tempe, AZ, at their own expense encouraged to apply.   Responsibilities/Duties: Operating testing machines that determine physical properties and strength of materials Prepare test specimens Calculate material properties based on test results Determine acceptability of test results to job specifications Prepare reports QualificationsRequirements/Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and mathematical skills. A two- or four-year Engineering Technology Degree or equivalent is preferred.  Requires relo to Tempe, AZ for non-local candidates. All applicants require the following: Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures. Excellent communication skills written and verbal Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
