Position Summary Â
DMA is looking for enthusiastic, driven individuals to join our Indirect Tax - Development Program—a specialized entry-level opportunity designed to build your knowledge, sharpen your skills, and prepare you for long-term success.Â

In this 12–18-monthstructured program, you'll be introduced to DMA’s Compliance Operationsin either Transaction Tax or Property Tax, determined during the interview process. You’ll gain hands-on experience, receive targetedtraining, and be fully immersed in our company culture.Our goal is to help you discover where your strengths lie and support your growth with mentorship, professional development, cross-functional exposure, and a clear path toward a rewarding career within DMA.Â

Throughout the program, you'll gain insight into the diverse career paths and advancement opportunities available at DMA—including, but not limited to, roles in Compliance, Consulting, Real Estate, Implementation, Business Development/Sales, and our Management Trainee/Leadership track.Â
Â
Essential Duties and Responsibilities – Transaction Tax ComplianceÂ
Collect, analyze, and process data for the timely completion and filing of transaction tax returnsÂ
Process tax returns and filings for assigned clients in DMA’s proprietary softwareÂ
Prepare check batches and electronic payment batches Â
Monitor, review, and resolve jurisdictional tax noticesÂ
Complete month end reporting (scanning, uploading, Year to Date tracking, etc.)Â Â
Prepare bank reconciliations for applicable clientsÂ
Familiarizes with state and local tax compliance changesÂ
Maintain a professional relationship with clientsÂ
Assist with projects such as amended returns, address change, name change, closures, etc. Â

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – Property Tax ComplianceÂ
Perform property tax data analysis, reconciliation, and import into PTMS, OneSource, PowerPlan, and DMA’s internal software PTCAÂ
Update and maintain client tax information and databaseÂ
Submit completed returns to Supervisor/Manager for review by assigned due dateÂ
Monitor and review all jurisdictional tax notices for assigned clients by assigned due dateÂ
Prepare tax payments on behalf of clients for jurisdictional liabilities by assigned due dateÂ
Review the missing bills and notices reports and research items not receivedÂ
Prepare funding requests to send to the client to receive funds for timely paymentsÂ
Ensure all applicable returns/renditions/tax bills and remittances are processed and mailed in a timely mannerÂ
Respond to client and jurisdictional inquiriesÂ

Attend routine meetings with Professional Development Training Team and complete self-development projects and tasks as assignedÂ
Work closely with other divisions to better understand company initiativesÂ
Assistanalysts and supervisors as neededÂ

Education and QualificationsÂ
Current college student that will obtain a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Data Analytics or otherrelated fieldÂ
Previous internship experience in a related field/industry strongly preferredÂ
Adaptability to changing situations and fast-paced environmentÂ
Demonstrate sense of ownership and self-motivationÂ
Thrives in a team environment and works to achieve shared goalsÂ
Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skillsÂ
Possess leadership initiativeÂ
Ability to work well under pressureÂ

The target start date for this program is either Monday, January 12th, 2026 or Monday June 8th, 2026. (Can be flexible as needed)Â
This position will report to our Indianapolis, IN office as an in-person, onsite role.Â
