Job Description

THIS OPPORTUNITY:

As an experienced Engineer, you will become a leader with the opportunity to grow and mentor a high-performing team of talented and skilled engineering professionals. You will use your management skills to plan and organize the team’s efforts and take responsibility for cost control, staffing, and quality. Your demonstrated professionalism will come into play as you cultivate and nurture client relationships and build the Egis North America brand by participating in state and regional associations. Use your strength as a communicator to assist with proposals and direct marketing efforts.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and plan in accordance with applicable design specifications. Projects may include various bridge types such as steel plate girder, prestressed concrete girder and reinforced concrete slab structures.
  • Conduct structural analysis to ensure the strength and safety of highway structures
  • Prepare structural designs and contract documents including drawings, specifications, and estimates
  • Participate in preparing project budgets and schedules
  • Perform calculations for designing bridges and transportation structures using AutoCAD and/or specialized bridge design software. 

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a structural major or emphasis
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or specialized bridge design software
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with co-workers and clients, both in verbal and written form
  • Knowledge of Prestressed Concrete is preferred
  • Expertise for layout and design of bridges and highway structures is preferred
