Project Superintendent (K-12 Construction) – Indianapolis, IN

Powers & Sons Construction is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to lead field operations on K-12 education construction projects throughout the Indianapolis area. The Superintendent is responsible for overseeing daily jobsite activities, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring work is completed to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day construction activities on K-12 addition and new construction projects.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Maintain project schedules and proactively address potential delays.
• Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
• Lead jobsite safety efforts and enforce OSHA and company safety requirements.
• Conduct regular progress meetings and communicate effectively with project managers, owners, architects, and school representatives.
• Oversee inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of superintendent experience in commercial construction, preferably K-12, higher education, or public-sector projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, safety practices, and quality control.
• Proven ability to manage multiple trades and maintain project schedules.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software and digital field reporting tools.
