OverviewÂ
This Formulation and Development Associate – Animal Health R&D will provide hands-on support for early and late phase formulation and process development.Â
Compensation:Â $23.00 - 25.00 per hour
Â
ResponsibilitiesÂ
Design, execute, analyze, and evaluate experiments that meet R&D product development objectives using hands-on, scale-down models of manufacturing processesÂ
Ensure experiments are well designed and documented with clear objectivesÂ
Technically manage small-scale laboratory projects as requiredÂ
Identify process improvement opportunities through data analysis, observation, and technical report writing in collaboration with senior scientists and techniciansÂ
Monitor and interpret drug product study resultsÂ
Organize and execute routine experimental work in accordance with established methods, SOPs, and applicable regulatory guidelinesÂ
Independently operate and perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment relevant to assigned workÂ
Recognize and communicate atypical results/deviations and support investigation and resolution as neededÂ
Accurately document work in batch records and/or electronic laboratory notebooksÂ
Write and present technical summaries at department meetings and reviewsÂ
Collaborate with scientists, cross-functional teams, and manufacturing partners to share key learningsÂ
Participate in project meetings and contribute technical inputÂ
Able to adapt to new procedures and evolving project needs in a dynamic R&D environmentÂ
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory work environment and encourage safe behaviors by coworkersÂ
Contributes to a cohesive team environment and maintains a positive attitudeÂ

Qualifications:Â
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline with 2 years of relevant laboratory experience will also be consideredÂ
Master’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM field preferredÂ
Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with laboratory equipmentÂ
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, technical curiosity, and high learning agilityÂ
Ability to work independently and collaborate within cross-functional teamsÂ
Effective written and verbal communication skills for documenting and presenting technical dataÂ
Demonstrated ownership with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficientlyÂ
Interest in pharmaceutical science and drug product manufacturing, with a willingness to learn and grow in this areaÂ

Knowledge of and hands-on experience with drug product development processes (e.g., extrusion, granulation, tablet compression)Â
